WILL POWER!!!




The time has come to rally around one of our Lexington families!

William Schaefer was recently diagnosed with Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. This is a  type of cancer of the lymph nodes. He is currently receiving chemotherapy to cure this cancer and has a 4-6 month battle ahead of him to conquer the lymphoma. 
Will is doing well and wants to thank all of you for the thoughts, prayers and support. One way to continue to support Will and others who have or had Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma is to wear Flourescent green on Friday!!  Will's cancer fighting slogan is WILL POWER!!  
I also want to share with you a fundraiser in support of William and the LAMPSTRONG Foundation. A t-shirt has been designed to show support to William in his fight against Non-Hodgkin Lymphoma.
The proceeds from the sale of t-shirts will go to the LampStrong Foundation. This was founded by Matt Lampson who is a goalie with the Columbus Crew and who also had lymphoma as a teenager. William loves soccer and he wanted to support a local lymphoma survivor who fought his way back to play soccer again.

Focus

Do you have trouble focusing? Here is a fun tip that ANYONE can use, at ANY TIME! All you need is a pen and 1 minute! Step 1: Find a pen or pencil. Step 2: Hold it up to your face, about 1 foot away. Step 3: Focus on the end of the pencil for 1 minute (setting a timer will help you to avoid being distracted). For this one minute of time, do not allow yourself to think about anything else! Just focus on the end of the pencil! This would be great to try before beginning your homework, studying, at the beginning of a big game or race, anytime! I would love to know what everyone thinks of this. I will be trying it also:) I challenge you to use this trick at least once this week! (It might be good to try this before or during the Math & Science testing:) One Minute Life Hack Will Make You Do Everything Better!
