Toys for Tots


Student Council will be sponsoring a Toy Drive. This event will run from December 7-11th. This will be a BOYS V. GIRLS competition! There will be a prize and it is guaranteed to be entertaining! 

CACY Food Drive 

 CACY is in the middle of their annual food drive. We are collecting non-perishable items to donate to Grace Episcopal Church’s food pantry. This is a time of year to give and be grateful. Please help us help others by sending in your non-perishable items. Students are entered in a raffle for an individual prize and the classroom with the most items will also get a prize! The last day is MONDAY, November 23rd! (There was an earlier post about this if you would like more details). 
 

Girl Talk

Girl Talk is the newest club at the Junior High! High School students volunteer their time to mentor our junior high girls. We meet as a group every Thursday after school. There is a snack, activity, and lesson each week. This has been a great addition and we are all very excited to be able to offer it. Every girl is welcome! Girl Talk meets each Thursday from 230 -315 pm in the JH music room. Students are able to ride the late bus home if parents provide a note in advance. 

Thanksgiving Break 11/25-11/27

 The week leading up to winter break is always a busy, crazy, fun week at the junior high! Students should pay attention to the announcements for different events and activities that week! Last year we had a hot chocolate day, spirit week, ugly sweater contest, and an assembly. I will post this year details once the information becomes available.

THANK YOU!   Testing has begun again! We are well into our End of Year PARCC assessments. The students have done a wonderful job with the new format of testing and it has all gone better than we could have imagined! The staff and students of Lexington Junior High would like to send a huge "thank you" to the Academic Boosters. This is a wonderful organization that helps us with more than I even realize.
